Category

Date

The Future Workplace research team have had a paper published in the leading academic journal Ergonomics sharing research with an international team demonstrating how Socio-Technical Systems thinking can help address many grand challenges we face. We've highlighted cases from our own experiences working on hybrid work and future workplaces, human-robot teams, medical technologies, and digital transformation in policing. We illustrate how this approach can foster collaboration, develop shared language, and enable multi-disciplinary solutions to complex design challenges, including the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. Implications for how we think about stakeholders and system boundaries; utilise project management tools and to integrate socio-digital skills.
