Hybrid Working - Submission to House of Lords Select Committee

What evidence is there about the consequences of hybrid working for individuals, organisations and wider society? How can we use changes in work arrangements to support productivity and positive outcomes for workers? What should government and policy makers do to support future ways of working?

The House of Lords Select Committee on Home Working called for evidence to help them answer a range of questions about hybrid working.

At the University of Leeds we have been undertaking research since 2020 on how work and workplaces are changing to adapt to hybrid and flexible working. We have used this in depth knowledge and research data to provide specific guidance to businesses and policy makers about how to capture the benefits of hybrid working.

Our key research was funded by UKRI. We collaborated with a range of public and private sector organisations (including local and national government organisations, financial, legal, and professional services, health and research organisations), we have gathered rich, in-depth data, generating a variety of insights.
